The prize and the prize winners
The prize has to be awarded every other year to a mathematician or to a group of scientists who have produced the best result in the field of pure mathematics or in the foundations of numerical mathematics. Since 1995 the Ostrowski Foundation may at the same time allocate a grant. The proposition is made by the prize winners.
